1. Guests bring glad news
Angels visited Ibrahim with glad news. Ibrahim welcomed them and brought food. They gave his wife good news of Ishaq, and of Yaqub after Ishaq.
Angels visited Ibrahim with glad news. Ibrahim welcomed them and brought food. They gave his wife good news of Ishaq, and of Yaqub after Ishaq.
Ibrahim's wife was amazed because she and her husband were old. The angels reminded her of Allah's command, mercy and blessings. This good news was a gift from Allah.
After Ibrahim separated himself from false worship, Allah gave him Ishaq and Yaqub and made each a prophet. Another passage describes them as leaders who guided by Allah’s command, with the doing of good, prayer and zakat. These are stated qualities and family connections; a detailed childhood adventure is not narrated in these verses.
Surah As-Saffat describes Ishaq as a prophet among the righteous and tells of blessings upon Ibrahim and Ishaq. These verses honour him; they do not provide a full biography.
Be thankful for your family and Allah’s blessings.
A learning takeaway, not a quotation from the Quran. This is an original, simplified retelling of selected Quranic accounts and sahih narrations, not a word-for-word translation or a complete biography. Each section links to its sources. Any tafsir explanation is labelled separately. Where the cited sources give less detail, the account remains shorter. The final takeaway is a learning activity.
