1. Ad and the call to worship Allah
Hud was sent to the people of Ad. He asked them to worship Allah alone. He reminded them of the strength and blessings Allah had given them after the people of Nuh.

Hud reminded the people of their livestock, children, gardens and springs. They built imposing structures and behaved harshly when exercising power. He asked them to fear Allah and obey the messenger, explaining that he did not ask for payment. Their strength was a blessing with responsibility, not proof that they could ignore Allah’s command or treat others as they wished.
Some leaders insulted Hud and refused to leave the worship of their ancestors' idols. Hud explained that he was bringing a message from their Lord and giving sincere advice.
Hud warned the people in Al-Ahqaf, but they challenged him to bring the punishment. He explained that its knowledge belonged to Allah and that his task was to deliver the message. When they saw a cloud coming towards their valleys, they thought rain was coming. Instead it carried the destructive wind they had challenged him to bring. Their homes remained as a sign after the punishment.
Allah saved Hud and the believers by His mercy. Those who rejected Allah's signs and would not believe were destroyed. Their error was rejecting the message and persisting in false worship.
Be humble and grateful for what Allah gives you.
A learning takeaway, not a quotation from the Quran. This is an original, simplified retelling of selected Quranic accounts and sahih narrations, not a word-for-word translation or a complete biography. Each section links to its sources. Any tafsir explanation is labelled separately. Where the cited sources give less detail, the account remains shorter. The final takeaway is a learning activity.
